This month's Special Project is to visit our friends at the Victorian Cat Society

We will be attendeng one of their famous tea parties.

Bring your d*g with you. Then tell me what your d*g was wearing and how they carried themselves at the party. Some d*gs will behave like purrfect Victorian ladies and gentlemen while others will not.

Your assignment will be to visit the tea party and sign the guestbook. then write Servo and tell him all about it. Describe the tea party and what your d*g wore and how he/she acted.

I will post your responses here and each kitty who visits the tea party and reports back to me will earn 20 points!

Click on the Victorian Cats Society banner above to visit and then come back here and mail Servo and tell him all about it.

Have Fun!

Spike the d*g and I just got back from the Victorian Tea Party. Spike looked the true gentleman; as his natural coloring is black and white; I wore my best top hat and bow tie.
We arrived punctually and when we got there, the table had already been set. It was beautiful! There were fresh flowers in the middle of the table that filled the room with a fresh, garden scent. There were plates of scones and cookies carefully arranged on silver platters. We chose to drink the Catnip Tea. That's when Spike got out of hand! I was very embarassed; he had never had Catnip before and we did not realize how it would affect him as a canine! He first burped very loudly (quite humiliating) and then his gas got bad. He scarfed down the scones like a barbarian and then ate all the cookies like they were Milkbones! He even ate the potpourri! He washed it all down with cream.
We left quite embarassed, and Lord only knows when we will be invited back. We could not find the Guestbook to sign, and it's probably a good thing!

Buddee
I really loved the Victorian Cats B & B - and we have exactly the same taste - I just adore deep rich red velvet, with paintwork in Farrow & Balls bookroom red! Of course and the trims etc. would all be gold (the lovely antiques old gold). What a splendid idea to arrange a visit!

I am also a member of Victorian Cat Society, and in order to maintain my standing with Vic Cat Soc, I chose to take Ace with me. He is a Schipperke, handsome and very well-mannered. It is perfectly safe to take him anywhere (not like some of the other d*gs who live here, whose names I won't mention).
For the occasion, he chose a paisley carvat to go with his black hand-laced show collar. He enjoyed the tea and crumpets, and remained polite, even though one of the cats asked him if he was a pot-bellied pig. I could tell his feelings were hurt, but I told him he is handsome, and some cats just have to be "catty".
